After the installation
When the installation is finished there is one account: the super administrator with the e-mail address in organization.admin_email. Do this first.
1. Sign in and change the password
Get the generated password on the server:
sudo grep initial_admin_password /opt/eurion/deploy/generated/group_vars/secrets.ymlSign in at https://app.example.se and change the password under Settings → Security → Change password. The same account is used in the admin portal at https://admin.example.se.
Keep a local super administrator account
Updates require you to confirm your password. Accounts that sign in with Microsoft Entra ID have no password in Eurion and cannot install updates. Make sure there is always a super administrator account with a password, and never sign in with Microsoft on that account (read why in Microsoft Entra ID).
2. Check e-mail
If you filled in smtp in the configuration, Eurion sends e-mail for password resets, invitations and notifications. Check that it works, see Outgoing e-mail.
3. Go through the admin portal
The admin portal at https://admin.example.se includes:
| Menu | Used for |
|---|---|
| Dashboard | Overview |
| Identity Providers | Sign-in with Microsoft Entra ID, see Sign-in (SSO) |
| Users | Search for users, block and activate accounts, sign a user out everywhere |
| Organizations | Organisations on the server |
| Security Policy | Security settings for the organisation |
| Audit Logs | The audit log |
| System Updates | Install new versions, see Updates |
4. Decide how you get updates
By default the server looks for new versions at https://updates.eurion.se/stable/ once a day and shows them under System Updates. Nothing is installed until a super administrator chooses it. If the server should have no contact with the internet, see Updates.
5. Arrange backups away from the server
The server takes a backup every night, but it stays on the same server. Copy it to another location, and make sure uploaded files are included. See Backups.
6. Look at the monitoring
Grafana is at https://admin.example.se/grafana (user admin; the password is grafana_password in secrets.yml). Alerts are sent by e-mail to organization.admin_email. See Monitoring and alerts.
